St John’s Lutheran Primary School acknowledges the First Nations Peoples, the Taribelang, whose land is the traditional lands on which our school is located. We honour elders – past, present and emerging from all four traditional owner groups that make up the Port Curtis Coral Coast region, The Byellee, The Gurang, The Gooreng Gooreng and The Taribelang – and show respect for their continued cultural and spiritual connection to the lands and waters.
St John’s Lutheran Primary School is a central Bundaberg co-educational P-6 Christian school founded in 1978. Students attend from the wider Bundaberg areas of Bargara, Coral Cove, Elliot Heads, Burnett Heads, Moore Park Beach, Kensington, Thabeban and Branyan. Our Primary School is considered one of the best schools in Bundaberg. Located centrally on a secure parcel of land opposite parks, the School has a separate Prep precinct, a multi-purpose Centre, playgrounds, music rooms, sensory garden, library, STEM programs, an onsite Church and more. Our students have access to opportunities to allow them to start small and dream big. We prepare students for secondary school through faith-led character formation, academic rigour and a balanced range of co-curricular programs.
