Inquiry-based learning that creates curious and creative students.

St John’s Lutheran Primary School offers a quality teaching and learning program with a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy. Through an inquiry-based learning approach students undertake the national curriculum in future-focused subjects such as STEM, Performing Arts, Outdoor Education, HASS and more.

Our qualified and experienced teachers regularly undertake Professional Development to improve their teaching programs so that our students experience the best of ‘what they learn’ and ‘how they learn’. Our teachers are also focused on helping students develop their emotional intelligence and wellbeing, so that they may be well-rounded and have the capacity to fulfil their individual potential.

Today’s learners will need to develop resilience, confidence, collaboration, creativity and the ability to take risks. Therefore at St John’s we have a commitment to innovation within the delivery of our evidence-based student learning programs and activities to prepare our students for the important jobs of tomorrow. We encourage our students to use their cognitive ability to think critically, to enquire and to be creative!

Technology plays a part in our classrooms (whiteboards, iPads and laptops) and is used to enhance learning outcomes and access.

Within our school grounds, we have a surprising range of facilities that cater for the diverse needs of our students. All our classrooms are air-conditioned. Our modern library has an extensive range of resources and our school has purpose-built specialist rooms, including a large multi-purpose, state-of-the-art hall.
