At St John’s, our prep students have access to the best of everything to ensure their educational journey is nothing short of a great start in life.

Prep is an exciting place full of stories, play zones, toys and games – and many things to discover and learn about.

However, starting school for the first time can often be daunting on students and parents. It is a time where routines, good communication and much handholding can ensure a successful transition from pre-Prep to school life.

Our job at St John’s is to ensure our youngest learners feel safe and secure in an environment of high care. Our priority is to nurture our students in their learning and personal development so that they can start to fulfil their potential from the outset.

The fundamentals of literacy and numeracy are our core learning focus in the early years. This is balanced through a broad offering of indoor and outdoor play as well as a variety of activities and specialist lessons.

Enrolment preparation – Prep readiness

St John’s understands the importance of helping each family prepare for Prep attendance. We provide additional enrolment information specific for Day 1 readiness, as well as information regarding school expectations and attendance guidelines. To help their transition be as smooth and welcoming as possible, each child enrolled for Prep will be invited to attend Prep Readiness sessions in the lead up to commencement.
